I hail from a thriving metropolis in Wisconsin that is populated by four thousand Homo Sapiens. Megafarms are scattered throughout the countryside. In the autumn, mechanized manure spreaders work in fields far and wide and, if you drive within a certain distance of them or if you’re downwind of them …
For the last forty years, my existence has in some way been connected to the home I am residing in. Now and then, I travel to Milwaukee to visit my nephew and his five year old girl, who has recently discovered The Three Stooges and has been laughing her head off. (Her mother sees nothing funny about The Stooges. That makes her mother funny!) Now and then, too, I travel to larger nearby cities and play cards (Sheepshead, Euchre, Schmear, and soon (again) Cribbage).
